The next requirement of the Accredit UK Delivery and Operations stage is Allocating Resources.
Resource allocation is all about ensuring that the right people are assigned to jobs that they can do.
The Accredit UK assessor may ask you:
- How do you select staff to be assigned to a project?
- What happens when a Project Manager is reluctant to accept a member of staff on a project?
- What controls are in place to ensure that people are not taken off projects prematurely?
- When there is a clash for key resources, how is the situation prioritised?
- How often do you find that you do not have the staff available that you need?
For example: Allocate your best people to your most challenging jobs; it is always preferable to do it that way as opposed to the people who shout the loudest.
